Belated congratulations to Rosanne and Adam who celebrated their wedding in December at the historic Guildford Fire Station with Adam's fire-fighting colleagues forming a guard of honour. Wedding guests were treated to the romantic sounds of C4 at the garden ceremony and we enjoyed providing background music at the fire-fighter themed reception. Yet another request for ACDC suggests we should expand our repertoire! Thanks to the happy couple for inviting us to be part of their special day.
Visitors to the Fremantle markets over the holiday period may have pricked up their ears at the sound of four cellos emanating from the Markets Bar. The bar's management regularly provide opportunities for local emerging musicians to perform. The patrons quickly warmed to our renditions of 'How Sweet it is (To be loved by you)' and the 'I am the Walrus' by the Beatles with vocals by the energetic Callum Silberstein. We look forward to future appearances at the Markets Bar.
Upcoming gigs: The quartet are excited to be performing as members of the WA Youth Orchestra in a concert with Tim Freedman of the Whitlams on February 10th. We are also busily preparing for weddings in the early months of 2011.

Wild Fairyland Festival
On October 10, we transformed into fairy cellists for the Kings Park Wild Fairyland Festival. It was, once again, a fantastic experience and great fun playing for the boys and girls dressed up as fairies and pirates. It was wonderful to see parents getting involved as well. If only Josie, our weather fairy, could have kept away the rain!
Thanks to Jenny from Happenings Events for organising the Festival and especially to everyone who listened to us. We hope to see you again next year.
Here's us, concentrating very hard :)

Welcome
Welcome to our first post!
Firstly, some introductions are in order: We are C4, a Perth based cello quartet who formed in 2009 and perform regularly for weddings, private and corporate functions and schools concerts. Although we are classically trained, we are well versed in a wide variety of styles including folk, ragtime, and most recently, James Taylor. We enjoy Bach chorales, red wine and pasta and student rush tickets.
We are often asked about our unusual instrumentation- a chamber group of four cellos is a rarity amongst the many traditional string quartets currently in circulation. However, we believe the uniquely rich and beautiful sound of cellos in ensemble is enjoyed by too few- the only thing better than one cello is four!
Highlights this year have included Bronwyn and Kim's birthday party and being invited to perform at the Market Bar in Fremantle. Also, thanks to the lovely people at Sweet Floral for having us at the E-Bridal Expo in August. We are offering couples who found us through the expo a special discounted rate for their wedding.
Upcoming events:
In October, we are looking forward to the annual Kings Park Fairy Festival, at which we will be performing for the second year in a row.
Until next time, happy cello-ing!
